Q4 of  Financial Year 2009-10  Results

 

Balaji Amines Limited is an ISO 9001 – 2000 accredited company with a unique positioning in the field of Manufacture of specialty chemicals, Aliphatic amines and its derivatives, addressing to the needs of API’s, Agrochemicals, Rubber chemicals, Water treatment chemicals,    Refineries and other industries in the Domestic  & Global markets.

 

The Company operates from its facilities in Solapur, Maharashtra and Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh with dedicated Research and Development centers which are continuously engaged in development of new products. The Company has been instrumental in introducing new products  and expanding existing facilities every year.

 

Key Operating Highlights:

 

  1. Net Sales increased by 31.85% for the fourth quarter of FY 09-10 from Rs. 56.14 crores for previous year to Rs. 74.02 crores for the current year.
  2. Profit after tax increased by 34.79% over the previous year PAT of Rs. 15.33 cores to Rs. 20.65 cores.
  3. Exports increased by 14.56% over the previous year figures of Rs. 58.50 cores to Rs. 67.03 crores.  The exports for the year stands at 25.60% of the Net Sales of FY 2009-10.
  4. The above performance is achieved with a better product mix though the sales have gone up by only 4%.

            Additional information:     

 

·         During the year the following plants have commenced production

1)      2.5 MW captive Power plant.

2)      GBL Plant

3)      PVPK-30 Plant

  

Management Comments:   Mr. A. Prathap Reddy, Managing Director stated that the excellent performance in all spheres is attributed to the new product selection and timely execution of plants.  Further, he has  informed that  the uninterrupted power supply from captive power plant  has given the additional margins and operating efficiencies along with improved productivity.
